I'm picky about who I share revenue with, so I'm not concerned about the scare issues that keep coming up whenever this is mentioned. Does anyone have any actual examples of revenue sharing sites that have "lost their license" due to such issues?
All ad units on a page must use the same client ID. Search and referrals do not have to have the same ID as the ad units. The reply I got from Google was unclear about whether link units had to be the same as the ad units, so I use the same client ID for both.
I don't share revenue with forum contributors. That just seems like it is asking for trouble. The revenue share is only on feature stories by trusted contributors. On the fora I am setting it up to share a straight percentage with volunteer moderators.
Your comment is simply negative conjecture that in no way answers the OP's question.
That may be but personally I don't want to be associated with any other account... even my mother's! That may be harsh but its much safer. There are no safeguards for us publishers that will prevent us from being banned in case of a misunderstanding with a related account. If there were then maybe.
In this situation, my approach would be to only have one ID (mine) and dish out a fixed % of earnings via Paypal or Check. Heck, it would even be viewed as a business expense.
