Union for small publishers?

Anyone ever tried to start a Union for the small publisher? Just to gain some bargaining power with Google like the big boys?

In economics, bargaining power refers to the ability to influence the setting of prices.

"Google apparently not prepared to actually listen to their publishers base’s concerns, it seems very likely that the idea of a “publishers union” to evolve as an instrument of pressure will increasingly take hold.

It’s certainly too early to reliably gauge how effective this will be but in any case it does go to illustrate the rapid rate at which Google is losing sympathy, support and fundamental acceptance of its (now former) support base."

Any more likelyhood of this happening now?

Well, back in the day in union shops there was collective bargaining, and if management stood fast against union demands there was a walk-out/strike. Think Google would care if some publishers went on strike?

The walkout of - some - publishers would not make much of a difference... unless it was covered by the media... and then it might not make much of a difference -- UNLESS -- there was a lot of dissatisfaction with the AdSense system. I was just wondering how much dissatisfaction there really is with the small publishers. Shrug... just wondering.

For all the grumbling that goes on, even from myself at times... I just don't think there is that much dissatisfaction with the system at this point.
