Here is my story, I have a blog online for nearly 2 months and not yet indexed by google.

how can i have an idea about how my ads placement/format/etc.. is doing?

what are the metrics?

how to know if all i am missing is traffic or i can do more with the traffic i already have?

thanks

Have you submitted it yet? Also, please be aware of the Google sandbox, so it might take a while. I'd also submit the site to blog search engines such as Technorati.

I think you have to use channels here to see how your various pages are doing. but blogs tend to be low earners unfortunately.

what are the metrics?

Well, the standard measure to compare between advertising programs tends to be ecpm, but I'd suggest looking at all availabe metrics to get the full picture.

The only advice I can give here is to concentrate on quality of the site, and in time Google will recognise that in terms of search engine placement and ultimately what you earn.

thanks for the detailed reply, just one question tho when u say blogs are low earners do u have an aprox figure about how much an average blog can make? maybe the "low" in your country is more than what i am looking for.

thanks

I don't think anybody can give a specific figure, or even a wild guess. I say they are low earners because that's what people here report. I don't think it's to do with the earnings per click, but with the fact tht visitors don't tend to click on blog ads much.
