Hello to all the people here and congratulations for the GREAT job you're doing....

Ok, my name is Panagiotis (or Panos) and I'm from Greece.
I'm 18 years old (yes) and I own a forum.

I have 400 subscribed members, around 50 unique visitors every day. Pretty active forum (14.000 posts in nearly 9 months) although the 60% of the members are inactive for some reason.

I decided to use Google's AdSense program and try to earn some money.
I need some help though..

Ok first of all, I have put the code I was give by Google in my site but I don't know if this is now working. I mean, I only see the search box and not any specific ads from other sites. Do you have any tips to give me? Instructions maybe for what I should do now to get this thing working (in case it doesn't)?

thank you in advance
Panagiotis

Welcome to WebmasterWorld Mandingueiro!

You've only installed the search box.

Did you intend installing AdSense?

I think he means that you don't get any ads using the search box.
I tried some very competitive searches but I didn't see any ads.
I don't know what's going on however.

BTW. If you still can you should edit out the domain name. Because you're not allowed to drop URL's here.

I think he means that you don't get any ads using the search box.

If so then he's installed the search box incorrectly.

Click the last button on the right in his results and you get ads.

I think he has installed code for adsense for search, instead of adsense for content.

panos, I visited your site. You installed ONLY the SEARCH script. That's why you ONLY see a search box.

1. Log into your Adsense account
2. Click the Adsense setup tab
3. Click Adsense for Content
4. Then follow the instructions
5. After you've completed the steps, you will be given the code that can be pasted into your webpages to generate the Adsense Ads.

Remember. DON'T click on the ads that appear on your website EVEN if you think it's just to test them. NEVER!

Just a quick aside - there is no reason to remove the search box you currrently have - might get a trickle income from it. Also don't forget you can have one link unit a page as well as any Google adverts - again well worth doing IMHO

Earlier today his search box really didn't show ads. Now it does. I don't know if he changed the code for the search box or if he wants to show regular ads.
