My strangest web site with AdSense

A German site with 4% visitors in German language

it's a site with pictures from an artist. The site is German only, but Google Analytics tells

55% spanish traditional
13% portugese Brasilia
11% English US
8% portugese Portugal
4% German
.........and so on.

95% direct visitors

I don't see why it's that surprising. The people aren't typing in German phrases to find the site, they're presumably typing in the artist's name. And they're probably looking for images rather than text.

jomaxx, yes, but then why are almost all of the visitors from spanish/portugese speaking countries? This Austrian artist is popular there?

Unknown. Maybe that. You'd have to look at the referrer strings to understand why it happens.

I've noticed my rankings are different for all the different Googles these days; maybe there's some factor that causes this site to rank higher than average in google.es.

Where are the servers located that host's your site?

I recently started a thread on this topic in the WebmasterWorld Google Search forum, and was advised that the country the server is located in, is important when targeting visitors.
