What your Adsense / Other Ads income percentage?

After one year in this forum, one thing became clear. Adsense is GREAT money, but it just cannot be relied on as my ONLY method of monetizing my site. So I joined an Ad management site. After 2 days, I sold my first text link ad ($10 for a month).

It's peanuts but I'm excited as heck that it signals the start of my diversification from Adsense.

What's your income percentage between Adsense and other ads?

Right now, mine is Adsense (98%) : Others (2%)

edited : I seem to have made a typo in the title... how embarrasing ;)

Earlier this year we decided to reduce our dependence on adsense AND any other external ads. Our current split is about 50% from adsense, and 50% from our own sales, a shift from about 75-25 in the Spring.

We were anticipating a reduction in adsense revenue.

We made a fair amount of alteratons to our sites to re-orient them towards promoting our "stuff".

After a long tests, I have a good working PSA replacement.

Income on my sites 98% AdSense, 2% this best working PSA replacement, where I wrote also a long article about.

About 3% of our income is from AdSense everything else we do get directly from our advertisers.

50:50 Adsense:Chitika - but only because my sites are so camera-focused.

I'm still hunting for that ever-elusive $2/click niche. Even a few of my loan pages are not showing click values anywhere near that.

27-30% AdSense
70-73% Other (memberships, banners, etc.)

And, I plan to increase the "Other". :)

We're about 60% Adsense / 40% other - and the other is a mix of agency ads (cpm), and some sms services. The reliance on adsense is a bit scary - but we've found it worked really well as soon as we moved adsense out of the traditional banner positions and into the content.

Only about 5% Adsense. In my experience affiliate programs can get you much more with well targeted traffic.

98% Adsense, 2% affiliate income. It is only a 'hobby' site so the inclusion of Adsense is money for nothing ;)

yeah fuzzyfish... that's precisely why I WANT to diversify... but I'm going through the early-stage-what-do-I-do period..

100% adsense since years. from time to time a self-sold banner. affiliate business is still not even worth a try for my content sites - earnings are ridiculous.

45% AdSense, 55% affiliates. AdSense has been growing in proportion for some time as I roll it out on more sites.

JaoaJose and FourDegreez... now that's what I'm talking about. That's where I ought to be. What's your uniques per day and how'd you start to steer your site that way (if I may ask)?

I've gone to almost 100% Adsense over the past year or so('firing' private advertisers and affiliates in the process even though the income was okay). It's just so much easier to worry about new content and getting newsletters sent on time than it is to worry about advertisers. This month I am averaging about $265 a day from Adsense and last year my income doubled between October and February, reaching an all time high then leveling out for the rest of the year. I was making about $150 a day last October.

In that time I have added literally 100s of pages of solid gold content. By this, I mean content that visitors actually asked for(I now have time to pay attention to visitors and answer each email question that comes my way). The content is mostly submitted by visitors but I add my own commentary. For less than $200 month I even hired a writer in another part of the world. I wouldn't trust this person to write from scratch, but just to edit and make the material organized and understandable, their work is superb! And, I have time to worry about other things. Keeping up with the lastest trends in my niche, for example.

Amazon affiliate 15%
Adsense 85%

Experiment with your site. What doesn't work for one person works for another.
