Question regarding Adsense PIN

My PIN was generated on 22 August. There was a mention in my Adsense Account that I can request the 2nd PIN on 14 September or after. Today on 16 September I requested my 2nd PIN on 1 PM in the afternoon. When I returned home at about 5 PM, then I saw the 1st PIN on my doorsteps, that just 4 hours after I requested my 2nd PIN. I wished that PIN should have come 1 day earlier on 15 September because to get the 1st month payment it is important to submit PIN on or before 15. What should I do now? If I enter the PIN now can I get the 1st month payment this month or should I enter the PIN after some days. Should I email google to not send my 2nd PIN as it will be mailed after 3 to 5 days of requesting.

Better ask them, but I think you are stuck with the second pin the moment you requested it, the first one probably won't work.

As I believe, the first and second PIN are either the same, or they are different but will both work anyway. Just e-mail G, I don't think there will be much of a problem. The only problem you have is that you will be paid one month later because you couldn't enter your PIN before the 15th of the month.

Isn't it strange how long the "normal" post takes to deliver the PIN number.

When I received mine (2 months ago) it was also on the 22nd - coincidence?

Maybe G likes to have a longer sample to check for good behaviour first.

I had been pre-warned not to get impatient and ask for a 2nd PIN and to wait a bit longer for the first one to arrive in order to avoid the situaton you describe. Tough luck, but payday will come if you're good.

Sorry to disagree, but I had exactly the same situation and the first PIN did not work after I had requested another PIN. It seems strangely coincidental the number of people I know who have had to wait for the second PIN - makes you wonder doesn't it!.....They always seem to arrive a day or two after the date they stated, just enough time for you to think it is lost in the post, cancel the first, re-order - and hey, guess what your payment stays with Google for another month. :)

Just don't ask for a third one like I did. That generated an automated reply from Google telling me I was a PIN-head.

I'll tell ya, even when I signed up for AdSense I never got any respect.

Trannack, I believe my second PIN indeed was different from the first one, but that was early 2005. I am told that they changed it now and somehow 1st, 2nd and 3rd PIN are all supposed to work.

No biggie ASA, but this is a matter of honor now.

not to worry at all. 2nd pin is always different but you can use your first PIN as well, so dont worry, go ahead and validate with the pin u recd

I submitted the 1st PIN and it worked. Now I am keeping my fingers crossed and waiting for my 1st payment......

i had the same situation but when i entered the first pin code, it worked, then i asked google is there any problem because i asked for another pin code. they said it is ok.

the funniest thing that i didn't get the second PIN code!

any way as long as u didn't enter pin code beofre 15 Sep, so u will not get Augest Earning (which will be calculated and sent by the end of Sep), but by the end of October they will sent u both Aug and Sep earning.

Also if u want to change the method of delivering, u should do it before 15 October
