I have a web site about marketing news and some helpful articles.

I rank really high for 'niches' such as news items because its a Wordpress CMS and i changed the Permalinks.

But why am I only getting that low amount? Any ideas of different topics I should cover or how my ad placement should be changed?

i'm pretty sure urls aren't allowed...

Are you not making much because you aren't getting many clicks, or is it because your epc is low?

Play with placement. I've found wide skyscrapers work well, as do rectangles near the top embedded in the content, like

content
ad content
content

instead of like you have:
content
ad
content

Isn't it kind of ironic, though, that you are running a site on marketing...

It just seems a lot of people start off trying to make money by creating sites that are about trying to make money!

1) you have a blog

2) you have a blog

3) you have a blog

And no you are not allowed the url.

The caffene boy scares me right off the bat.

Do people hang out at blogs have much money?

Are they interested in ads about things that they have to potentially spend money on?

I'm sure you are not allowed to post URL's.

However, I have been having the same problem and what I have found is that too much information on a page...sometimes just doesn't work.

Visitors become absorbed by the information and never end up clicking... After all - the ads are for more information or other choices... if you provide a lot on one page... not only does the ad get lost but the visitor starts reading and never ends up needing more info.

Also, the longer the page is... the more you end up justifying more ads. More ads per page results in less payout. Remember - you're selling real estate (Your page) the more of it you make available, the less it's worth.

There is a magical formula for EVERY page and EVERY site... the formula involves, ad placement, blending, site layout, content and probably more factors than I can remember.

All I can advise is experiment and then experiment some more.

Many people think $5/CPM is good biz these days, I could make a bunch off $5/CPM.

However, 50K uniques a day is a different story.

It's all about traffic.
