Hey all- first, many thanks to everyone that participates here and WebmasterWorld.com as well.

I run a simple directory web site that is seeing some horrific EPC rates.... averaging .04-.05 per click. I have read that the rates are mostly determined by the content/subject/keyword matter, but am wondering if anything else comes into play? For instance, my site is mostly just links, with little editorial content. Does anyone think this might look bad in the eyes of G and bring the rate they pay me down? Does it really just come down to keywords and bids? How does inventory (# of sites with similar keywords) come into play?

And, is there ANYTHING I can do to change this?

thanks!

Google's "Smart Pricing" ould be another factor:

[adwords.google.com...]

It's also possible that Google's compensation scheme takes the type of content into account. We just don't know.
