I insterted the letterhead style text block of ads on my site (for content only..no search)
It's only been up a couple of hours and it says this on my stats:
Page impressions Clicks Page CTR Page eCPM [?] Earnings
AdSense for content 69 10 14.49% $0.00 $0.00
view all AdSense for content channels »
AdSense for search - Get started
Referrals - Get started
Total Earnings $0.00
OK my question is this...
How exactly does this work?
If I have had 10 click-throughs, why would my earnings so far be ZERO?
I was thinking we get paid per "click" or is only when someone signs up to advertise on my site?
Sorry everyone, just a bit confused on how all this works.
The other question is how often are the ads suppose to change? I was assuming everytime the page was refreshed would be the case but it seems NOT to be the case. In fact I see its only changed once in a couple hours.
Hope someone can answer this.
Also am I required to have "channels" set for this to be effective?
My site is devoted to spa vacation travel and so did utilize the competitor filter, disallowing ads from my cmpetitors appear.
However would that hurt us, more than help us, by removing those? I don't want to lose customers either so really a tough call.
Note that Google Adsense TOS does not permit you to publicly display your Adsense statistics. Better read the agreement carefully.
When I look at the statistics you provide, they sort of amaze me.
Although these numbers are way to low to draw any conclusions, I think your CTR is remarkably high for a single Adsense block at the bottom of (some of) your pages. Since your advertisers seem to be OK I think the clicks should result in earnings. And it looks as if your content is OK too, so I can't see what's wrong. Perhaps if you report again in 1 or 2 days to let us know if the problem is still there? BTW, ads can only change if there are enough advertisers in your niche, wich in your case shouldn't be a problem.
Give it time, read the AdSense TOS at least 3 times, consider working more on traffic to your site.
and i don't think that click in public ads will appear as a clcik
the second quisition, simply it depends about ads avalible for google, so if the advertiser choose to show his ads on a web page from USA, his keyword was travel for example, so it would appear on ur site if u r from usa and ur web page contain word "travel", it will appear till the advertiser budget end or they have another advertiser which pay more, etc. it is all about their technology
