When you create AdSense for Search code, the choices are given to either have a logo or not. Without a logo, the long "Google Search" submit button is used. Also the table height wastes some space. When you choose to use a logo, the submit button shortens to "Search" but very limited color choices are given for a background to the table cell.

Is it a violation of the AdSense Terms of Service to modify the code output by : AdSense Setup / Products / AdSense for Search to include a different submit button, different table cell background color, smaller tables, smaller fonts, etc.? I could not find this on Google's site. Thanks.

I thought you weren't allowed to "tinker" with their code at all. However, as it doesn't sound like you are trying in any way to mislead people etc etc or disguise the fact that it is a Google Search box I would imagine they would not have a problem with this. However, it being Adsense, it is aways worth getting this confirmed with them first - there are just too many people out there who get chucked off Adsense for a breach in TOS. Better safe than sorry!

Well, I found this thread:
[groups.google.com ]

It states "No code modifications are allowed."

If this is true there is 0 customization allowed beyond Google's create-code forms.
