Of course I'm happy with my new stats I see everyday (all though I have to admit I've been hit by smartpricing a bit)
But when my CTR at the end of the day is around 25-28%, went up from 4-7% I'm smelling Google's Red Flag.
What should I do? Is this something emailing google about? (Got a little scared about doing this too, after greedy_player's reply to another post of mine)
Or should I just remove the link unit I added, and go back to my old adsense setup?
Again, I'm sorry to be bugging you all.. but I really would like some opinions.
I would not worry about it unless your started getting a way higher CTR, then I'd ask G about it, but till then, enjoy making a little more money. If you've been working hard on your site and you happened to put an ad unit in the right place, good for you!
Have a great weekend!
I wouldn't worry about it. Are the link phrases relevant to the page topics? That might explain it. Sometimes those link units work better than regular ads.
I'm not saying I'm much of a big earner, I have somewhere around $5 a day. This is from a very small Norwegian site. My traffic is all from Norway and the fact that there are only 4,7 million people living here, I can't count on any more from my very tiny niche.
However, I am about to publish a brand new site, international, and I have greater hopes for this one. It would be a shame to be banned from the google adsense program before I even get to test my new site with it. Even though I am not making this site just to put adsense on it. (SiteSubject is a big hobby of mine) It would be nice to have a little extra for hosting, domain etc..
And by the way: My $5 a day are as serious to me as the $300, $600 or $1000/day are to you ;)
But thank you for your reply anyway. I DID appriciate it :)

If you have a large amount of traffic (100's, if not 1000's, of clicks or more), just a small change in your statistics could be significant.
But if you only see a few clicks a day, any trends will be hidden by the potentially enormous variance between individual visitors and individual clicks.
