I know some of you have read my moaning over Google ignoring my page impressions over the past couple of weeks soooo---

I was sitting here thinking about the "lost PI's" and a thought darned near slapped me off the chair, almost making my ears ring!

They were not ignored! They simply did not exist for Google!

I have a mini section of my site, about 144 pages, and I only put the adlink ad on each one of them therefore, if all those visitors did not click on one of the links to search (I suspect it was possibly teenagers) then the ads never showed so they never made an impression for them to count.

My worst duhhh moment to date and boy do I feel foolish.

DUHHHHH

If only they would put the Adlink unit impression count and click count into the URL channels! I'd love to know which pages generate Adlink clicks, but I can't afford, (fit), another complete set of custom channels just for this measure.

They have the information (in many cases), they just have to do more work to carry it through.

Hi Ann,

If that's the most foolish thing you do with regards to AS, then you'll always be much less foolish than me!

But, yes, your analysis does sound correct.

I love tables of numbers. I optimise and multi-thread financial/numerical code for (part of) a living. But I still do find AS/AW stats very opaque and anti-intuitive in places.
