How much time does it take you to get paid? see mine.

Just wanted to share a little bit of how adsense works for people outside the US...

For example, I generate clicks from Jan 1st to Jan 31st.

I get my earnings reviewed by Google during the first week of Feb.

Now, after the 15th the checks are sent, it takes between 2 to 3 weeks for the checks to arrive to our "virtual office" in Miami.

We are talking that my company received the check in the States, at the beginning of March.

From there, the check is sent to Costa Rica and it takes around 7-10 days to be available here.

So, now it is March 8th and I finally have the check in my hands, I go to bank to deposit.

The Bank takes 12 business days to clear the check, this is around 2.5weeks...

Finally around the end of March (30th-31st) the money is in our account to be used...

How about that?

- I'm not really complaining or anything, just sharing as an FYI...
- We don't send the checks directly to CR using the CR Postal Office because is not really secure...
- Good thing is that after the first check is cleared, the second one is just one month away... We enter the 30 day cycle...

What about having someone from your "virtual office" in Miami set up a checking account in the US (or any of the 20 supported countries [google.com]), use EFT as your payment option, and then wire the money home with online banking?

I hate checks. People can steal them, it takes ages for them to arrive, and even if you are lucky the bl@@dy bank takes a huge commission. EFT is cheaper and faster.

Google is expanding and openning new offices in all countries which they have enough partners, and see enough potential in order to own a local bank account, thus, enable EFT in your currency.

Hope they come there soon too. It's really relieving.

I'm from a small country in Asia, but I usually get my check (or "cheque") on the 28th of every month, plus or minus one day. Apparently, Google sends out the checks from a bank in my country.

And my check is cleared in 24 hours! And banks here don't charge any fees for clearing checks. No EFT for my country yet, but I'm still happy!

Hell here in Serbia it takes around 6 weeks to clear the check! So consider yourself lucky!

When the right amount of money comes, I will definitely open an US bank account. It is needed not only for Adsense but all the outsourcing work we do from here...

I got to see if there are TAX implications on this...
