Hello guys, I'm a web designer/webmaster and a new member of this forum. Looks like I'm going to get plenty of information in this forum about this exciting field. I'm also a movie critic who is creating a movie review website. I have few critics friends who are going to be part of this. I was just wondering how well entertaining movie websites do with Adsense. Thanks again

Hello JPcinemamaster, welcome to WW.

As far as I know, entertaiment sites do not perform well with adsense. Early this year I developed a joke site but it didnīt have good earnings at all so I forgot about that project and began a site on a better paid niche. But you there's nothing to loose if you try adsense on your site, the golden rule here is to try, try and try.

Welcome JP, and please do something to get Rachel McAdams in more movies.

I run a music site and can tell you that you need a lot of traffic to make decent money in the entertainment realm with AdSense. The good news is that movie ads can pay fairly well (many run on our site), and they're mostly pay-per-impression, since the studios just want visitors to be aware of that tasty new Natalie Portman flick and aren't too concerned about clicks. You'll need to run image ads, the bigger the better.

If you enjoy reviewing movies, put up a great site and follow your passion. You might make a few bucks down the road.

thanks musicarl. My website will have multimedia features as well. I've seen those movie adds that just appear on the page. How do I do that or who do I contact? thanks in advance
