How do I filter out the low CPM ads. There are some ads on my site that must be paying Google the Minimum to advertise. How do I know which ads are paying CPM vs. CPC?

adsense cpm ads are site-targeted by the advertiser... if you drill down into your stats far enuf, there will be an option to "show data by" "individual ad unit" "targeting type-contextual or site"

I see what you mean. But if I have a banner ad, how do I know which one of the 4 advertisers are paying by CPM vs. CPC?

if you are seeing a banner ad, it could be either cpm or cpc... if you roll your mouse over the ad, you can see who the advertiser is in the bottom left-hand corner of your i.e. browser.

however, that doesn't specifically answer your question, but it's about as close as i can get.

if you are looking to put certain advertisers in the filter because they may be using that low-rent site-targeted cpm, you might want to think twice about it... because they may also use cpc, and you'd lose out on that income as well.

sometimes you can raise the value of ad blocks by cutting back on the number of blocks on the page... effectively pricing the cpm off the page.

Thanks for the help. Currently I only have one ad block and one text ad block. I was getting decent CPC for awhile then as of last week it dropped way off and I started noticing that i was only earning pennies and getting very few clicks. Am i right in my assumption that this is from CPM ads?
