I realize it is early but just wondering if anyone else is seeing a very low CTR?

CTR sucks; outside, it's hotter than the sun right now and I've got a head cold.
I'm going to Wal-Mart to buy a blow up pool to wallow in for the rest of the day!

In germany it's getting colder and it even rains -> CTR is going up :)

Many school-systems in the U.S. are gearing up for students to return. That means clothes shopping, school supplies, last-minute hang outs at local clubs, etc.

Probably not a lot of folks sitting in front of computers right now.

Remember, this is about low ctr, not low traffic or impressions. Mine is still 0. :(

I was about to ask what the heck the weather and traffic has to do with CTR.

All I know is that something weird is happening today as my CTR is the lowest that it's been in months.

All I can do is wait until tomorrow I suppose!

I was going to say me too but the latest update brought things up to above normal for this time of day, both in CTR and earnings.

Well, I will "me too" :) ... mine is still at zero, which is what led me to see if others were experiencing the same thing. Must be a reporting delay.

I'll jump on the other side of the bandwagon. I'm seeing a fairly significant increase in CTR (xx%). I'm noticing a lot more of the ads with thumbnail images, as well as several of the ones without the "Ads by Gooooogle"

Sure the next time I come across one. I use leaderboards and they look exactly the same as the normal ones, except they don't include the Ads by Google or the Advertise on this Site links.

Definitely a lag in reporting today. I was showing ridiculously high CTR and low epc earlier in the day, but now it's leveling off. As opposed to a click dump, I'm looking for a page impression and earnings dump.

Makes one wonder what the system downtime Saturday was all about as it doesn't seem that any upgrades to the reporting system were made.

so far so good for me - must be all the crappy mfa's and scam sites that I have been trashing ;-)

I also noticed some strange result in my stats:
Page views is among the highest in my site history, CTR is high, and yet earning is among the lowest.

Just to share...

is it just me or are page impression reportings running way ahead of clicks received stats at the moment ?

I noticed a picture ad on one of my sitess too. When did that all start? I don't know how i feel about it. The pictures sometimes clash with my design a lot.

Earlier this summer I graphed out the temperature of the major metro area that feeds my market against earnings and ctr and it definitely sticks to that theory.

CTR is dire at the moment.

August 1 looked normal to me in every respect. CTR and eCPM were up just a tick from my July averages.

As I've said before, having a lot of different subtopics (and therefore a lot of different keywords and advertisers) probably helps to create an "indexed mutual fund" leveling effect--at least in sectors that aren't dominated by a relatively small number of advertisers.
