Thing's I've done... (let's hope they work)

Changed the way the urls appear, incase smartpricing is picking up on similar words and calling it the same page when it's not.

Enabled images and text ads from text only.

Removed channels and channel id code from the ad scripts.

---

Result so far... a few dollars to a reasonable amount of clicks we'll see what happens.

Are you really giving us an update on how your income was affected after 17 minutes? Doesn't 2 weeks seem more like a reasonable minimum?

who knows it might never get better but we'll see.

Smart pricing updates weekly, according to someone far more adept with statistics than I, who was able to massage his stats to determine when there was a change in the pattern....

7:23 pm: I've made some changes

7:40 pm: Here's the effect it's had on my earnings

Are we supposed to be taking this seriously or am I missing the joke?

Absolutely, if anyone can tell me how to stop my Google 12-24 eCPM being half the 00-12 then I'd get excited!

I am not seeing any positive results. I think I will switch things back.

Wow - a one minute trial :). Not entirely convinced that's quite long enough - maybe a little longer next time? ;)

I have read this forum for few weeks, many are focusing on smart pricing, MFA's, instead of concentrating on the traffic of their websites.

Folks, it is just a gift for us to have Adsense. Smart Pricing in simple way the balancing of equilibrium for the Advertisers and Publishers.

I don't know much about smartpricing, but I do know that I have one website that pays better when running the default ads. Once the mediabot shows up, the ads change and the click value is lower.

So to keep the default ads running, I just occasionally change the ad size, such as a large rectangle to a medium rectangle, then in a couple weeks change it back.

When I had a 160x600 running, I would flipflop it with a 120x600 every couple weeks.

This also keeps the ads from getting stale.

pays better when running the default ads

Which ads are they?

Non-specific to your content ads?

If I were to change an ad size all I would get is a different shaped ad with the same ads.

If I were to add an extra unit all I would get are extra ads about my niche but earn less.

This also keeps the ads from getting stale.

I only use a leaderboard and an AdLink however the leaderboard usually change on a refresh, sometimes 4 or 3 or 2 etc.

eCPM had increased, but only a small amount however I'm interested to see what happens within the 14 day period or so when smartpricing algorithm changes my income per click, up or down , nobody knows.

Hi Opti-rex, the ads that show up are relevant to the topic, yet they are different ads, like they get buried because of the MFA's.

It's a very competitive topic and tons of advertisers.
