1. AdSense is primary source of revenue (say, 50% or more).
2. Site contains unique content (i.e.: no scrapes, no auto-generation, no PLR articles, no free articles, etc.)
3. Site is updated regularly (1/day or 1/month, it doesn't matter as long as it's on a regular basis).
4. Site is generally in compliance with the Google webmaster guidelines (i.e.: no sneaky redirects, no SE manipulation, etc.)
If possible, please break down your earnings by category (e.g.: AdSense, affiliate programs, own products, etc.).
This survey is anonymous, so no need for URLs! :)
My first year with AdSense on an existing site, which was Nov. 2003 to Nov. 2004, I made $2,400. That was about 80% of the site's income.
Added AS to two core sites initially as an experiment and earned $9,500 in the first year of which $2,500 was the final month alone after I had decided to get my act into gear and go site wide and also include on all domains.
To say it exceeded all my expectations would be an understatement.
Ditto, I was expecting to pay for hosting and a couple of meals per month.
My intention is to get an idea for how much a 1-year old site can make from AdSense (and, possibly, other revenue sources). So, the figures should be for the first 12 months of site's existence. Whether you put AdSense on in right from start or only in month 10, is irrelevant.
Makes sense?
Sorry for the confusion! ;)
8th month with adsense $25,000 gross
started $1,500 gross now $6,000 gross per month
Now up to (was less before)
$500 adwords spend
2 links on 2 other page 1 sites in niche, $500 per month
1 new site just launched, 2 more in development.

no, it's not. if you talk "how much can i expect.." you have to be absolutely clear about that. which starting point do you mean? if it is website birth to one year old then sorry to disillusion you, but that would normally be next to zilch. it's an endurance game.
if you mean first birthday to second birthday (that is, site exists since one year) then here are my stats: 7500$ after all (first adsense year).
definition by cases:
year 0-1 ¦ adsense 0-1 ¦ 3 digit $
year 1-2 ¦ adsense 0-1 ¦ 4 digit $
year 1-2 ¦ adsense 1-2 ¦ 5 digit $

What sucks is I need a bit of help trying to get more clicks. I should be making alot more. I can earn 60 a month with only .12 CTR. I get around 208k impressions a month only getting 246 clicks. And i don't have a forum with adsense on it. I would almost split half my income for a month or 2 if someone helped me get it alot higher. I have messed with it a bit and can't figure out how to make it better.
I rescently got laid off from work so I get unemployment. So I have about 6 months to get this rolling so that I can make some real money with it so I don't hafta go back to my day job.

I have an active forum and that is where the largest bit comes from though I inetend to start optimising the 'normal' site as well to get higher results there, next to increasing traffic of course.
I also run a site for the company I work at and this site has 7 times less visitors than my own site but still gets the same results as I do, so if that site would increase in traffic the income should also go up quite a bit. Yes, it did cross my mind making a similar site :)))
