Is it common for these two totals to be different? I have to decide if I need to go through page by page and check each channel number.
Thus "grep google_ad_channel *" checks all files in the local directory for the line google_ad_channel, and displays the results.
To use this you'd need cmd line access where you host, and it would help if it were a UNIX system :-)
I don't know if this is due to web caches of my homepage, or individual browser caches showing an out-of-date page, or spider activity, or what. But my conclusion is that due to uncontrollable factors the AdSense channel impressions/clicks may not precisely match the aggregate totals.
I have the same situation, but with WebSearch. I only place the search box on 3 pages, which all have channels.
When I check my stats the aggregate impressions are higher than the combined channel impressions. The difference varies by as much as 25%.
