Hey guys,

I'm using a CMS that hashes and rewrites the urls, so that they look like: /foobar_1234/index.html
Now, when I write a new article all the adsense on that page focus _only_ on that keyword "foobar".

Ist that normal?

Google has always viewed "_" as a word component, not a word separator (AFAIK), so I would be somewhat surprised if your suspicions are true.

Sorry, actually it was: /foobar/page_1234/index.html

That makes more sense -- you're giving Google a hint that the page is more about "foobar" than it previously was. And, assuming that other pages link to that page, then other pages are also giving Google a hint that "foobar" is really the point of that page.

Use hashes not underscores. Underscore is seen by Google's engine as a character. Your URLs should look like this mydomain.com/this-is-a-page.html
