Hi all,

I have a few pages with a pretty high epc and ctr so I was thinking to promote them further with Adwords.

If I substract the money I would spend on Adwords from the (safely) estimated extra Adsense earnings I get a net positive result.

I have learned from other threads that it is no problem for Google to promote a site with Adsense ads on it with Adwords (it isn't right?!), but I have learned little about the effectivenes of such a campaign. Could you enlight me with some of your experiences?

If your eCPM with the AdSense program on that site is $50 or more, go for it, otherwise it's not worth it.

Also, if your eCPM with the AdSense program on that site is $50 or more... well.. sweet moses that's awesome :D

math:
$0.05 (cheapest bid price for AdWord clicks) x 1000 = $50. If you can send these 1,000 adwords clicks to your site, and get back more then that with adsense, you'll be in the green.

In other words, I can't imagine a situation where it would be profitable unless you're selling product, and have adsense as an alternative revenue (then you have customers buying product and also escaping via adsense as a last ditch effort)

If you have the kind of site people return to again and again then adwords might attract enough regular customers to make it worth it. Just getting them there for one visit would be kind of iffy though.

I do that and it is profitable for me.
I have very high CTR, and almost as many clicks as unique visitors, so it works for me.

Yes. That's the calculation I made myself and I am mostdefinitely in the green. I think I'll just go for it. :-)
