eCMP jumped from 0.9usd to 2usd in the entire account. So far so good.

When applying some filters we saw what made the spike: 2 ads on 3 specific pages, contextual and interest-based ads.
They had a eCMP of >1000usd... and revenue was around 30 times the daily average. CTR was higher than 100%...

We immediately removed the ad but are trying to understand if it is a reporting issue, an unprofessional advertiser or bad intention by a third party.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue?

PS: We did not change anything on these pages but added 2 different responsive ads on totally different pages, which do not appear in the reports yet, which is also bizarre.

Yup, seeing a spike in my earnings too. Not sure what it is.

I don't why you would want to remove the ad. If it's a mistake, I'm sure Adsense will do their own adjustments eventually.

It started the 19th many post about it on here. Report in under invalid clicks so google is more aware it's a bigger problem if there not already.

Oh yes. 900% increase in clicks and revenue. I was in panic mode until this thread.

Same here, my earnings yesterday were over three times higher than they have been for quite a while. Normally, the money is taken away from me pretty sharpish if there's been some kind of mistake, however it's still there.

I had a good day yesterday. I'm having a very good day today - perhaps a little too good!
This is only affecting one of my sites though - rest seem pretty normal.

I had a couple of huge spikes a couple of years back. 9x average earnings. Google didn't pay, but didn't mention it either.
Spikes are still there on my reports which mean if I look at the chart for over a couple of years it is unusable...
