Firefox Referral Button Choices

Do we need more choices?

I don't kbnow about the rest of you but i cant find a single FF referral button that blends with my site theme. I know its not always good to blend everything to much, contrast is essential in design, but there is no black, tan, deep blue ect .
I hope this is on the agenda.

I'm fine with the firefox choices. I don't care if it clashes a little bit.

My problem is that the picasa choices dont't mention "Picasa", they mention something stupid like "Google Image Software". Yes, there is value in branding, but they are pushing the wrong brand here. I would'nt mid if if was "Picasa image software, by Google" but at least mention the name of the software that I'm recommending.

At one point, I didn't use any of the referral products simply because the buttons were too ugly! I didn't understand why Google didn't get some design engineers to build some better quality banners/buttons, etc.

But, they're simple; they serve their purpose. They just don't fit well into all sites.

When at a crossroads, choose the one with black text. That should help alleviate some of the blending issues.

Thanks, I guess since theres no alternatives at the moment i'll see how they perform the next few days. I changed the site layout recently and tried a black theme for the first time, partly because I tried the FF theme BlueShift
and saw how good other websites in black looked through it.
I think you have a good point about the branding, sounds better "Picasa image software, by Google".
