I read somewhere that after setting up an Adsense account, they will send you a PIN via regular mail.

I have been an Adsense member for almost 3 years and never received such a PIN. Does this apply only to new members? If so, when did it start?

only applies to those who register for EFT interbank transfers and even then, they don't send you the PIN like they say they will...their system has been screwed for months now and they have never bothered to fix it despite being warned of the problem many times , you have to apply for a second PIN manually in most cases via the adsense panel even though they never issued you with the first one.

I applied to AdSense in December 2005, and when my site crossed the $50 mark in earnings my AdSense account instructed me that they would be sending me a PIN that I'd have to register. Probably showed up about 3-4 weeks later. I entered it. When my account crossed $100 in April, I got my check in May.

The system worked exactly as it should have, at least in my case.

But in your case, I believe you were before they started the PIN process, so they won't require that process for you.

andrewshim, publishers who joined AdSense before we began issuing PINs in early 2005 don't have to enter a PIN.

We started issuing PINs as a way to verify publishers' addresses and protect their personal information. For publishers who joined after January 2005, you'll need to enter a PIN before you receive a payment, regardless of the form of payment you've chosen.

You can check if you've been sent a PIN and request a new PIN if it's been lost by following the steps found here: [google.com...]

toomer and I Will Make It, I'm glad to hear the process went smoothly for you.

I've been with AdSense for over 3 years.

Anyway.. I have moved to an other country (and bank).
I asked AdSense if it was possible to change the bank info. They told me that the only way of doing this was by opening a new AdSense account and, closing the existing account. I had to email them the new account info.

This was all done within two days..

Now when I login on the new account there is a small message saying "Your payments are currently on hold. Action is required to release payment."
When I follow that link, it's asking for a PIN code.

They have send the PIN code to my new address, but till now it did not arrive... (the new account is only open for 4 days now)

I guess the PIN is only for new members ;-/
