Just for curiosity,

when we sign up in the US for individual account, we have to give in our SSN for identification and tax purpose.

What is required for people outside US when signing up? Passport #? nothing? :p Are this google checks taxable in your country?

You have to provide your address and name to google, that's all.

Does "'trading' presence" include hosting in the USA?

In my understanding, Yes.

Previous definitions by google is that if you are only using a hosting service located in US then not a US presence. If you own the hardware and is located in US then yes.

You may want to check directly with google on this but remember an extensive discussion on the board in this regard. Just can't find it at this time.
