Hi, recently i have taken adsense account and put it on my website..first two days its working fine..I have changed lay out and made a small mistake by puttting adsense code two places on the same page. Now my question is how to get back my sites previous glory.

Please any body help me. I have done unknowinly the double ad placing. I have no wrong intention of getting money.please shed some thoughts to correct this situation.

sharmajee, just try removing the code from the place you put it in. I suggest removing the code from both of your places and putting in a leaderboard at the top. Double-serving is not permitted by Google, so you better do this immediately.

Well if your CTR has fallen suddenly, Id check your ad relevancing. Often times the ad's messaging changes over time as you get AdBot'd. I would play with your URL and the various optimization techniques discussed on this borad frequently.

There has been a lot of talk about how to increase your Click through, I think you should put it at the top or on right side they seem to work best.

Make sure the Googles ads colors look like the rest of your site because soon as surfers see something like that stick in out they block it in there mind.

Just remember that "the ad colors must be such that any ad elements, including text and URL, are visible," according to the Google AdSense TOS.

Also, it's been my experience that users don't mentally block out AdSense ads--at least not on special-interest sites where readers are researching ways to spend their money (which is the case on travel sites or product-review sites, for example). If your topic is such that you can't get visitors to view or click on ads without disguising the ads as content, you might be better off running banners or other display ads on a CPM basis. That way, you'll get paid whether or not your users actually look at the ads.

"Hi, recently i have taken adsense account and put it on my website..first two days its working fine.."

Phpsharma,

Is the problem you are no longer getting targeted ads?
Or
Do you get a lot of repeat visitors to your site? If so, that can be the problem.

When you first introduced AdSense to your visitors they were probably intriqued by something new and clicked on the ads.
