Adwords -> Adsense doesn't work

I'm running an Adwords campaign to get visitors in a section of my site that has a relatively high effective CPM. I don't expect much of a profit this way, but I estimated this brings in visitors for free.

I just tested it once, but when I visit my site through the Adwords ad on a Google SERP, the landing page shows no Adsense ads (it shows my alternates).

Is this a coincidence or policy?

I'm reluctant to test it more often, to avoid the dreaded "invalid clicks" complaint from Google.

I guess you use a tracking code for your AdWords? That's considered a different page and you have to wait for the Mediabot to index the page+tracking code.

Click all your ads once from within your AdWords account and you're done.

Ah yes, that could be the explanation. I added a "?ref=google" query string to the URL. Thanks HitProf.
