No it doesn't fall into the AdSense bot range, nor the regular Googlebot AFAIK.

Just a few questions:

What user-agent string did it have? (Mozilla / Googlebot, other)

Did it ask for "robots.txt"? - if so, did it read files that were disallowed in "robots.txt"?

Did it ask for other files that you did not have on your site - or files that a normal person would not normally request?
