Richmondsteve: I accidentally looked at my "Ads by Google" box in an Internet cafe. Will that count as a fraudulent impression?
Did you glance at it or was it more of an eyes glazed over stare? And did anyone see what you were doing? Let's hope that Google is too busy rejoicing over the big American Summer Solstice festivities to notice.
Hi, this morning, I was going through the press release, and when I was scrolling down the page, I hit an Adsense ads once. I hit 'stop' before the page could refresh. Should I worry? Should I report it to AS team? Am I too paranoid?
I would hide, if I were you. Guys in black suits will be at your door any minute.
I suspect that Google does not pay for clicks on the "ads by google" link as it just goes to a Google hosted feedback page. For that matter, I would suspect that Google would appreciate feedback on the ads.
Let's say you see an ad appearing on your site that goes to a destination that you know is fraudulent. It seems to me that Google would appreciate adsense advertisers clicking on "ads by google" and leaving feeback about the ad.
OMG .... Jenstar, Pls help me out. Why is this even funny? :(
irock, I did not realize you were actually referring to an accidental click on one of your own webpages. The lead-in of your post somehow made me (and apparently a few others) think you were jokingly stating you had accidentally clicked an Ad on >someone else's< page.
I really thought you were being funny. I did, I really did. :)
Assuming this was just a one-off, truly isolated accidental click, I think you would be fine. If it really bothers you, drop Adsense a line and take it easy.
best,
Bose

Dang. I knew I should have read the Patriot Act more carefully. :-)
