1-In our current search script, we've programmed our site's main menu so users can move from the search results to any other page. It also reinforces the fact the sense that they are still within the site.
2-Our search engin gives more reliable results. There isn't a single instance of a word that's overlooked. Sometimes, that's good, other times, it can be problematic has the result has no relevancy.
3-There is no back button for the user using Google search to return to our Web site, after searching.
4-At the very least opening a separate window for the Google results might benefit users.
In conclusion, while Web search offers a good opportunity for greater revenues, it does not benefit our visitors. I really hope that Google addresses these issues.
Googleguy?
If one puts the search box on top of a site, it will be very huge and may stop other search engines from crawling more important parts of a page.
I wonder if the script could be added as css to save on size and help other robots crawl.
