Just got a ruling from Google.

I put the new search feature in place of the old Google site search future on a small page that also has an Amazon product search box.

Google says I can have the product search box on same page as the new Adsense Search feature.

Didn't the TOS say you can't have the new search on a page with another WEB search feature?

that is websearch truly and officially dead in the water for me as I have amz and poster search boxes on many pages.

rushed release and waaaaaay too many restrictions, not to mention the stunningly low epc I have seen in last 36 hours using it.

ho hum...

Well, it will only take somebody like Amazon or Yahoo to come out with a similar paid site/web searchbox and say that it can appear on the same page as AdSense, Ad-Sonar, Amazon Product Search etc. and Google will have to change their restrictions.

Otherwise it won't be worth it for any publisher to keep the Google searchbox and have to get rid of everything else. (Except AdSense).
