We have added the search to our site, but none of the searches from within our domain are showing up.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get crawled?

Thanks!

Your pages must first be in the google index, as it uses the site:www.example.com syntax for searching. The time it takes to get into the index can vary greatly.

I do not belive that they have their search using results from the main google index. That is a huge neagtive for some sites.

I have some pages that I do not allow to be crawled and included in general google serps, but are included in site searches as I want them to be.

I am so far not at all pleased with this search feature. I am not and will not use it.

I think they're using the index for our websearch. I understand from the docs that you still have to add your url to google through their addurl page. Adding a websearch doesn't auto add you to the index.
