From what I have heard and read once they suspend you there is no recourse. You can't talk to them about to find out what happened. They just cancel your account and that's it.
Now what if you didn't do anything wrong?
What if your nephew sat at your computer and clicked one of your ads?
That is scary stuff to contemplate.
Umm. I hate to shatter your myth but I doubt that google would ban your site for this. I have seen 4 sites that had their Adsense accounts cancelled and complained about it here - and all four of them were sent "invalid clicks" emails - and all four of them were violating the Adsense TOS by doing things other than clicking on their own adverts.
One had put external links in a frame with the adsense - and put hidden text for very expensive $$ per click terms (that had nothing to do with his site, or the sites that were linked to).
Another had posted comments in his own forum telling his members to click on the adsense ads to help pay for the site.
One had changed the way Adsense was displayed on the page to hide the "ads by Google" and some other naughtiness that doesn't need detailing.
The last one had apparently copied his entire site's contents from other sites in order to make adsense money.
Next thing he knew he's suspended. Not just that site but all of his sites.
Worst thing is that there's no recourse at all. G will apparently not talk at all to you.
Well, since the TOS specifically forbids that, and you can easily go to the sites yourself by typing in the URL...
I would say he got what he deserved. I have accidentally clicked on my ads about 3 times. Once was because an errant div command made the entire width of the page a clickable field, another was from a misclick while try to close the window. Another was from a misclick when try to highlight and copy the entire ad area.
I wrote Google immediately after it happened the first time, and was told something to the effect that they filtered out those types of clicks.
I would propose the person who clicked on his own ads, didn't just "click on a couple of times" - at any rate its their in 14 pt in black and white - why would one do such a thing?
LESSON LEARNED: DON'T CLICK ON YOUR ADS.
