After seeing the new Adsense PSA's on some new pages that google was taking its time target for ads, old PSA ads started to appear. Are they messing around with something, or is it a mystery why my new pages are not getting targeted?

I am still seeing the new larger style of PSAs. But if you have an ad block with only one paying ad (for example a leaderboard with one ad instead of four), AdSense will sometimes fill the rest with PSAs instead of leaving a blank space.

it was (and still is) showing 4 PSA's "Gorillias, UCP, the usuall) on a 4 ad skyscraper.

Very strange, sometimes on reload it will show the new (read: Ugly) PSA, or totally off target ads, ranging from Illinois Auto Insurance to Sites about finding a job. Totally unrelated to any content on the page, let alone the entire site.

Kind of annoying as these new pages are already getting a ton of traffic and are showing nothing but PSA garbage. Targeting is not what it used to me thats for sure.

Are you running AdSense with color modifications (ie border/background etc changes) or as the standard default? The standard default is usually what gets targeted when AdSense is testing out changes to ad and PSA styles.

I have colors changed.

I am starting to think that ads are being blocked due to a tripped content filter or something, but i have read it over 100 times and cannto find a single word objectionable. It is not about anything relating to violence, drugs, sex, or any other filter tripping keyword.

Chris,

I see the old ones from time to time as well. Sometimes they show with 3/4 ads, sometimes just one big one like the new ones--but with the stylized text, etc.

I have been hoping it means AdSense will start using the old format again rather than these page-breaking, ugly arse new ones.
