I just got a "excessive keywords" email from Google. How does one fix such a problem. Do they mean on each page or too many pages or both. We have many pages that go after some of the same base words just different surrounding words. I need to fix this our site make a lot of money.

Do these emails point to a particular example or domain?

How many pages are we talking about?

Does your copy flow or is it more of a "keyword, lots of people are looking for information about keyword. When you do a search on keyword, you can find lots of information about keyword. Internet search engines are a good source for keyword........" You know what I mean, lots of run around without actual information. I actually found a couple of pages like that on a site.

I am not saying your site is like that, I am saying that this might be one of the things that would trigger such an email. IMHO

I guess once they actually look at your site there is no fixing that kind of thing. We do have a base site that is real good I suppose we have to get rid of all those extra pages. How long do they give you to get rid of them? Has anybody ever avoided a closure by fixing the stated problem?

I have heard of this a few times. I believe it was mainly used for overly keyword optimized or keyword spam pages.

Do you have a page that lists mis-spellings of your keywords or perhaps has multiple keyword listings linking to other pages? Just some things that may trigger this.

Generally, if you ask AdSense, they can be more specific about which URLs or which domains they had a problem with. Be sure to reply with the warning # in the subject of the email, so it can be followed up properly.

Well I made some fixes I don't know if I made too many fixes but I got an email that I interpret as good.

Thank you for making the requested changes to your account in order to comply with our policies

I take this as they are happy. Also they approved my may check which was our biggest yet. We did not hear from them until we started making real money. Does this mean that at a certain level they seriously look at a site. I think that is how they choose to look at sites. There are just too many little sites out there to bother with. Unless you are making a certain amount it costs more to look at a site than they are paying them.
