has google decided anything yet?

It seems their self-imposed deadline for changes has come and gone (based on JenStar's comments in the previous thread) and we still haven't heard anything regarding putting 2 ads of a different type on the same page.

I understand the logistical problems with doing so - namely you'll allow a high bidder to theoretically pay more to appear at the top of the lower ad, than the low bidder who appears on the bottom of the higher ad. Maybe google could analyze the html content of the page to see which appears higher and use that to distribute ads? Sorry, just thinking out loud. Anyhow, any word at all on when (or even if) this would take place is greatly appreciated.

Nothing has changed yet. AdSenseAdvisor also followed up when image ads were launched a few weeks back and said that multiple ad units per page were not allowed.

Jenstar - do you have any sense of the CPCs and overall advertiser quality when comparing ADsense to Fastclick?

thanks!

Fastclick ads are NOT targeted - so they can serve anywhere from the blinking ads to 'hit the penguin' to the smileys to the occasional (and I mean occasional big business ad.
