Clarification?

From Adsense FAQ:

3. Can I display more than one set of Google ads on a web page?
Multiple ad units may be displayed on each Web site page, but no ad unit can contain any advertisement in common with any other ad unit.

What the heck does that mean? We do not control what gets served via adsense.

I believe we can have multiple ads per page - but only ONE type (leaderboard, button, banner, etc..) per page. I was looking for clarification on that - and noticed the above. ~confused~

I got a warning msg from adsense that says you are not allowed to display more than one ads in one page although i was not displaying same ads on the page. And please note that this was a serious warning message. I would never ever try to do that again..

The FAQ wording is very vague, but the AdSense rep here has made it very clear that the rule is one placement per page.

[webmasterworld.com...] has more information. And yes, AdSenseAdvisor confirmed this again a couple of weeks ago, that only one ad unit is allowed per page.

Thanks Jenstar - I don't know how I missed that thread but it does cover it all very well.
