I have this ad - "Animal rights for kids" displayed on everywhere on my site for several days now! It isn't a PSA (have alt color turned on)

Should I filter it? I'm skeptical coz this ad mite be actually earning some money!? I have no way of knowing, but I do know it's everywhere! My site is neither about kids nor animals btw lol.

Ohhhh...btw is it possible that this ad is a PSA and is displayed wrongly?

If the ad is completely irrelevent to your site, and your visitors really aren't the target market for this ad, block it.

I don't recall an animal rights for kids as being one of the current PSAs Google is running.

I've seen an increasing number of what appear to be PSA type ads mixed in with the "normal" ads on my site.

I assume that some non-profit (or for-profit) "social cause" organizations are runnimg paid ads.

Is there a way to disable PSA's all together? I looked around in AdSense but couldn't find one, and that's ultimately why I stopped using it. I don't care for a number of charities that happen to qualify for PSA ads and I don't have time to ban them all individually.

The AdSense Settings page has a field that lets you specify "Alternate ads" that override PSAs. For details, see:

<original poster's name, which WebmasterWorld obfuscates>, I won't speculate whether that ad is a PSA or not because I haven't seen it, but you may find the following thread of interest.

Hi,
I've disabled that ad for now and it has stopped coming. I visited the advertiser's page and it doesn't seem to be a commercial organization. Their site doesn't host a single ad and there is no where u can even make donations :S

Should I report to google this activity or should I let it go? Maybe PSAs are indeed getting mixed up. I say this coz this ad was almost on every page, I don't think a non-profit organization can afford that. This makes it more susceptible that it was a PSA afterall.

Not everyone runs ads to make money, believe it or not. I am guessing they bid on a word that would be considered less common than most, and you happened to have it on your page.

You cannot block specific PSAs using the filter, so if it is not showing anymore, it definitely was a paying ads.
