Geo-target your Alternate Adsense ads?

Anyone doing this, could it be worth it...

At the moment my alternate url ad is a plain affiliate text link and hasn't brought one sale (not too suprisingly).

It just crossed my mind, as I was sprucing it up a bit, that I could relatively easily throw in some PHP and a geo IP database to check the visitors' location and show them a more relevant ad google style.

Anyone else doing this? Would be it OK Adsense TOS wise?

Good idea - pity adsense does it already.

They supply geotargetted ads based on the user, so on your widgets page I (in theory) see ads for my countrys widgets, you for yours....

I can't see anywhere in my Adsense control panel to specify Alternate Ads on a per country basis? Am I missing something, or have you misread my post?

My bad Wi11. Misread da post (dem Friday blues, they getting me down!)

Best way to specify your adserving PHP page as the alternate ad, it should be able to identify the geo-ip of the users as requested. And AFAIK it's not against the TOS - you can display whatever you want in the alternate ads.
