Google messed up targeting again?

Reverts to early April inaccuracy...

Ever since the horrible April targeting change, my pages have slowly been increasing towards normal as ad quality improves. For the first week in April, CTR rates were down by 20%. But as of May, thing have improved - for the first 17 days in May, CTR was only 2.2% below March averages. Bad EPC, but at least not EVERYTHING was bad.

May 18th, I hope, was an singular event, as most targeting on my pages have suddenly reverted to "generic keyword matching" that has little-to-nothing to do with the page it's on, compared to just the day before. CTR plunged 20% (ads no longer interesting). EPC plunged 43% (ads of a more generic, low-paying nature). My earnings plunged 54%. Almost identical to April 2nd's numbers.

As I said, I hope things improve. I could grudgingly handle a 33% average cut in Google income, but when it gets down to 54% it's just no longer worth it.

For reference, my category is NOT a high paying one, so I give Google a LOT of impressions and a LOT of clicks for comparitively little pay.

Did you make any changes, inconsequential or not, to your pages around that time?

For me May 18th was also a bad day. Clicks down with 50% (compared with average). Av. price pro click was normal.
I live in Flanders and my pages are in Dutch.

There were absolutely no changes... Tuesday was just another normal day like Monday, or Sunday, or Saturday, or Friday. Very bizarre. What little stats are available for today so far aren't encouraging.
