Hi,

I need to know that how the sites in other languages than english are doing as far as earnings from adsense are concerned? I feel German sites has most number of advsertisers after english, but this is just based on a small hint given from one of my friend who has a german site ....Any idea? I want to make a foreign language version of one of my site and adsense will ofcourse be one of the important revenue streams. Please advice..
Thanks!

Follow-up: Does Google serve foreign-language ads based on the language of the page alone, or does it also consider the IP address of the request? For example, if I have a site for American expats in Europe which perforce has a fair amount of a second language on it, what language ads do they get? A page for American opera lovers that recapitulates Italian libretti?

Hmmm. Some corrections:

I DO think Google uses the ip to decide what language it will use. My site is completely in Dutch and when I accessed my site from a computer in Turkey (I was on vacation there) it displayed ads in Dutch and occasionally one in Turkish.

I own a site completely in Dutch. All ads are in Dutch, but somethimes there is one another lang. ,but that's maybe 5 % of the ads.
I think if somebody in the US takes a look at my site, they will not see those ads. When I look at the cache from google, there is always one public ad in it. So i think they will not only look to the lang. of the visitor, but also on the lang. the advertiser is making his ad, and of course the "word" he likes. If this word is b.e. 'computer', it could be any lang. but if it is Kroatië (Croatia) they make a relation to Dutch.
Afterall Adsense in Dutch is (for me) doing very well.
