How have you fared on blocking some ads? The way the adsense team words it, you don't need to add http:// it should look like

www.domain.com
or
www.domain.com/folder

I'm assuming folder would also mean filename like if the ad points to
[domain.com...]
you would need to put in the filter
www.domain.com/filename.htm

But you can't filter out an entire domain with
www.domain.com
(how stupid is that?)

What is the delay in getting this to work? It's certainly not instant.

There is a delay of a few hours.

I also wondered about that filtering - it wasn't exactly clear if you could filter an entire site by using www.domain.com, but I would think it should. They might have made the folder reference to allow all ads for a site except for ones that appear within that folder. I do think it needs clarification on that point though.

In their FAQ (in the second reference to filters), they state:

The URLs you enter into your filter list can be the actual URL of the website or the URL that is displayed on the AdWords ad for that website.

It sounds as though you could use that displayed URL and filter all of their ads that use it (which would hopefully be most or all of them.)

Many here use filters, so hopefully someone else can shed a brighter light on this from experience or from confirmation from Google.

I've tried this and can confirm that if you enter just the "www.domain.com", all folders beneath will be blocked as well.
