CTR up Impressions down!

is it normal?

I have observed last few days, as my CRT is up, my impressions going down. Does that mean visitors leave my site and go to the adsense ads they clicked? I have not done any web promotional activity since last month. Just want to observe the trend. Is this normal?

Same with me, I have been experiencing a dramatic increase in CTR for the past 3 days. Maybe the targeting is better? I don't know.

It just means you are getting roughly the same number of clicks but less people are actually on your site.
Not good for the long term, you want to be always increasing the number of impressions, CTR is not really relevant if you haven't got some good numbers to play with!

Earnings is a much better guage =)

An increasing CTR and dropping Impressions could mean a number of things.

It could be that the ads are a perfect match for what your visitors are looking for so they hit one page and immediately leave by clicking on an an Adsense ad.

The difference in CTR could be dramatic. If visitors look at an average of 10 pages before clicking on an ad the CTR would be 10%, if they look at an average of only 2 pages the CTR would be 50%.

Of course not every visitor is likely to leave your site by clicking on an Adsense ad, so the CTR would be reduced by visitors who leave the site by some other method.
