Merchant vs Affiliates?

Is there any way to block merchant affiiliates and not block the merchant themselves?

I'm talking about a large merchant site that has a ton of affiliates running ads that link directly to the merchant site instead of leading to the affiliates own site.

I could probably use up a large portion of my url blocking allotment on these affiliates.

I really don't want to block the merchant site itself because a huge portion of my visitors shop online there.

But on the other hand, I don't need 3 out of 4 ads showing that lead to this merchant via direct affiliate links.

What I really want is the ability to block ALL affiliate ads with one click. But I suppose that's asking a bit too much.

I think GOOGLE should block all the affiliate sites. I can't understand why they approve sites with absolutly no content, just ads. More money for Google I guess.

Just when I think I have all these spammy sites blocked more show up. <sigh>

Wow. There are many of us that make money off the Internet and many more consumers that want to purchase items on the Internet. If all sites that are for profit/affiliate disappeared, where would the advertising money for your content site via Google come from? It's your right to go right on banning folks from Adsense. However, we have discovered that in this area it's better to go with the flow than swim up stream. The strange thing is that many companies are willing to pay more per click for Google Adsense ads on our pages than they are willing to pay for results on those same pages. The Internet is still, in a lot of ways, "the old wild west". :)

The reason I'm so down on these sites is that I hate to get them when I am trying to find something. If I am looking to buy a certain type item I want links that go directly to that item. Instead I get a long list of ads that I'd have to wade through to find what I want, that is if they even have a link to it at all.

I want my regular visitors to keep clicking on my ads. If all they ever get is spam sites instead of the product they expected to find how long are they going to keep clicking?
