Traffic Patterns vs. Targeting

Earlier today the targeting was lousy. Right now it's great. This is the time of day that my traffic picks up too.

Google keeps track of the impressions, so how likely is it that they are taking note of traffic patterns to serve the most targetted ads?

I remember someone saying that google does do things by the time of day as well. Example traffic in the wee hours of the night gets low pay ads, and those that pay the premium get traffic when it's at the highest.

I could be wrong, it's known to happen. ;)

I can see a pattern of of values against traffic, higher values seem to conicide with North American daylight hours.
