Adsense ads not appearing?

I am in Australia, and for the past 12 hours, all adsense ads are not appearing in our site. This causes half the page to download extremely slowly, as the adsense ad is part of a table.

I have surfed on other people's sites with adsense, including the showcase sites on the google adsense homepage, and they are all loading VERY slowly, eventually not loading the ad.

Is it just me?

I am in Spain and the ads are also not appearing on my site today, where they worked fine yesterday.

My mistake, they do appear but take a very long time to do so. I also had problems loading google.com today so maybe it is just heavy traffic of some kind that is causing the problem?

You're having better luck then me. The pages take an extremely long time to load, and when they do there is just a white box where the tower should be.

They are loading fine in the UK right now - though I am on broadband, so speed should not be a problem.

and click on "Jamie's Kitchen" and see if that page loads - there's an adsense banner on it.

I just clicked on Jamie's Kitchen from the UK.

I'm on broadband and the page loaded fairly quickly. When I scanned down the Google ads were there already (that's the good news) - unfortunately, they were American public service ads.

No, tried again - this time 3 Jamie Oliver ads.

But to tell you I could see the ads but they were PS ads.

OK I've removed it.

Strange. This could be a location-based problem. I've had a friend here in Australia check it out, and it too loads slowly on her computer, and no adsense ad appears.

Then again, it could be an ISP-based problem. She is with the same ISP.

Any users here in Australia and not using Bigpond?

Even if it's either, it's a very curious problem.

Now I am having absolutely no problem viewing my ads when looking at my site using Opera (which is what i was using earlier) but in IE6 they refuse to show at all!

I use IE 6 and am having no problems at all viewing ads (content, not PSA) - and they are even loading very quickly, too ;)

After approximately 12 hours, and 3 emails to Google, my adsense banners have now returned!

No official email back from Google however. Strange problem - hope there is no repeat (not just from a revenue-loss perspective, but it slowed down my entire site to an unusable level!).

I think this problem is browser-based.

Frequently at work, where I have IE 5.50.4807.2300 running on Windows 2000, I experience the same symptoms (my pages will only load as far as the Adsense script). Since I put them high on the page, nothing shows but the headline.

Even under IE 5.5, these symptoms are intermittent.

At home, running IE 6 on Windows XP, I never have this problem.

I emailed Google, and they responded with "Thanks, we're looking into it."

Please, anyone experiencing this, email Google about it, including your browser version and operating system.

I am running windows XP, and my ads show fine in Opera 7.11

They do not show in IE6.0.2800.1106

They also are not showing on a machine running Win 98 running IE6.0.2800.1106

They also do not show on my XP machine using Mozilla Firebird 0.6

If anyone wants the URL I can sticky it to them...

I havent heard back from Google yet...

Ads appear on Netscape 6.2.3 but not IE6 on same computer.

I checked dillonstars site last night, and they weren't showing in IE or Mozilla. It wasn't showing anything at all - just a blank space where the ads would be. I had to check the source to make sure the code was there ;) But I went right to other sites using AdSense without any problems.

I just put the adsense script on a page on it's own without any other content and it doesn't show in IE6 etc.

I have the same script live on another domain and it works fine in all browsers.

It looks like it is something to do with the hosting for my problem...

Fixed?

Ads are back on both IE6 and Netscape on my computer. Google emailed me and pointed out an extra carraige return in the java script but the ads reappeared before I could fix it.

I got the same email from google, removed the carriage return and it is all fixed! :)
