If a page mentions "kill bill" and swords, will the google banners be shown, or the PSAs?
Showing PSAs at the moment, so not sure if I should bother leaving banner up...

It can take a while for targeted ads to appear. Mediabot has to index your page before it can understand the content. How new is the page?

Just created about an hour ago, checked a few times had some ads relating to website title, but mostly PSAs...

Alternative ads are not suited to this location.

Just curious...if there is no alternate ad that would be appropriate for that location, are you sure there will be a google ad that is appropriate for that location?

Not all topics will have advertisers, and if you couldn't find an alternate ad to show there, it's definitely possible that there might not be an advertiser match for that content?

Kill Bill DVD promptly popped up, I have had sword shops before as well =0

I meant the code would be too much hassle to change as well as size of banner...

I put adsense on a site that was totaly redone. It was a totaly new subject nothing to do with the old site. The second I put adsense on their it had perfect ads for the old site. That was weird I had never put adsense on this site. It was my second adsense site so I did not send it for aproval. There was no way they could know I was putting adsense on it.

I think the ads were from the backlinks.

It can take the bots days, or weeks or, as happened yesterday when a feed of new topics from my VB message board that shows on my front page had "computer crash" triggering PSA's, a few minutes to change back.

I had complained to Google about the strictness of their stop words, suggesting that triggering PSA's with words like, "Crash" was a bit harsh.. I don't know if that did the trick but when I first put on AdSense, I had that same word in a headline, and within my keywords... Once removed, it took about a week to get it to change over to paid ads... I was TOTALLY surprised last night when, within, less than an hour after changing the title of the message thread (thereby the feed on the front page) it went back to the targeted paid ads..

I don't think AdSense is by far perfect, or perfected, but. It's paying me more, for less effort, than anything I've ever done in the past.. that's all good!
