anybody else has the same?
Monday's stats started showing up at around 12:30 EST, but only at the usual pace of my site's traffic. i.e. it doesn't appear that any backlogged stats are being dumped in, but it is updating live. Furthermore I visited my site and immediately saw one more impression.
Does it look to anybody else like the stats are live now, but nothing more is coming in from the time the stats were dead this morning?
Jokes aside, I think it will take a few hours at least before things start to stabalize. I'm going to give up now and wait until tomorrow morning (it's after beer time here) to try and get a true picture.
Of course things will always go wrong when I make changes although I promise I didn't try to break the system.
I go the same spike in Sunday impressions at about the same time you did. My Monday stats have been slow to update as well. I think that the other posts on this forum are true--AdSense is just playing catch up. I really doubt that Google would rob us of our impressions and clicks. Stats are not a mission-critical app. Impressions and clicks are. The two systems are most likely separate. So, there was probably just a problem with the stats that created a backlog. And now they're pumping that data into the stats system as fast as they can to get it back up to speed.
I really doubt that Google would rob us of our impressions and clicks.
doubt is bad, no-doubt is healthier.
my monday-revenues were in latest weeks almost the same in subsequent weeks. So I can just take a look at last monday and they should be almost identical. tomorrow we will see if Google robbed us or not... for now I don't know.
Not here, unfortunately. It's still looking like Google just started counting stats about 3 hours ago, with no lost data being imported. I'll give it until tomorrow before jumping to conclusions, but as of now I'm seeing about 25% of the clicks/impressions I normally do at this same time on a Monday.
I agree, but in the short time frame I've been checking my stats (the last hour or so), the leap in impressions/clicks isn't in tune with a normal day. The data is being filled in, slowly but surely.
But I agree with you, we should all probably forget about it until tomorrow. Anybody else got ASS (Adsense Stats Syndrome)? :-)
Dave.
"Please note that this issue only affects the display of your account data and not the data itself. All impressions and clicks are being recorded."
Which would seem to imply that it's only a reporting issue and that the sum total of impressions and clicks will come out the same. I've noticed that my own stats for today seem to have caught up to roughly "normal" now.
In case anyone's interested, I've gotten an actual reply from Google about the issue (filed a problem report when it first happened). In part, Google's reply says:
Thanks, it was very helpful.
Things are looking really good for us now. In the last few hours everything has caught up. It really took us by surprise when things shot up drastically instead of gradually. :)
