I just wonder, what AD positioning is best? Left from content, right (by the scrollbar), inside texts (with 468*60 banner) or?

And, colours: Should they be "like" content - in other words masked, or thir colour should be different from content and colours of site?

Anyone tested?

Thanks

You'll have to try it out to see what works best - leave each version up a week (at least) to account for any variations. Above the fold seems to work best, though I've often wondered about the bottom of the page for a long article.

Concensus seems to be that having AdSense match page style (same color b/g, links, etc.) seems to get best results.

I read in many places where having the AdSense ads match the page style is best, and so I did that on most of my pages and it worked well.

However, I read an article a few weeks ago about using a bright red border and yellow background, that some grocery store studies showed those were the best colors and that it helps increase AdSense CTR, too. I tried it out, and my CTR went up 3% on the page I tested it on, which is significant, but not incredible since the page was already getting a very high CTR.

FYI.
